Look for the following in a developer

1 - Thorough understanding of spreadsheets and
what their good for. You don't want to turn Access into a
2 - If your spreadsheet heavily uses pivot tables,
then your developer better have a great knowledge of:

B) Building reports on the fly for Crosstab Queries
C) Creating and Automating SQL statement actions queries
(built on the

3 - If your spreadsheet has charts (and what great
spreadsheet doesn't!), your developer needs to know how to recreate
(or import!) those charts into the database.
4 - Make sure you feel comfortable that the developer
